Internship Program
Prizm Behavioral Services partners with academic programs to provide hands-on, supervised experience in outpatient behavioral health care — helping the next generation of clinicians build real-world skills.
Whether you're a PA or NP student completing your psychiatric/mental health clinical rotation, or a counseling student working toward licensure (LPC, LCPC, or equivalent), Prizm offers a structured, supportive training environment led by experienced clinicians.
Programs We Offer
Two distinct training tracks designed for the specific needs of your degree program.
PA & NP Preceptorship
Clinical preceptorship placements for Physician Assistant and Nurse Practitioner students, including those pursuing psychiatric/mental health specializations (e.g., PMHNP). Students work directly alongside licensed providers to gain experience in:
- Psychiatric evaluation and diagnostic assessment
- Medication management and treatment planning
- Patient documentation and EHR workflows
- Collaborative, team-based outpatient care
Counseling Internships
Internship placements for graduate counseling students working toward LPC, LCPC, or equivalent licensure. Interns gain supervised clinical experience in:
- Individual and/or group therapy
- Intake assessments and treatment planning
- Case documentation and clinical note-writing
- Ethical and legal standards of practice in outpatient mental health

Who We're Looking For
We welcome applications from students who meet the following criteria:
Currently enrolled in an accredited PA, NP, or counseling graduate program
In good academic standing with their program
Able to meet their program's clinical hours and documentation requirements
Committed to professionalism, confidentiality, and patient-centered care
